For those of you who feel like you were just reading about Hakeem Flowers getting an offer yesterday you aren't mistaken. Oh and he got an offer the day before that too. As the offers keep coming in we keep you up to date with the very latest with Flowers' recruitment here with SCPrepNation.com and the Scout.com team. If you're looking for a prospect who is starting to make waves you don't have to look any further than the 2011 wide receiver from Wade Hampton High in Greenville.
"Hakeem just received another offer from Texas Tech today courtesy of coach Simmons," Flowers' father told us.
Flowers in fact was participating in a scrimmage against Pickens High on Friday and we got some tidbits as just to how he performed in limited action.
"He didn't play a whole lot because coach just wanted to get his feet wet so to say a little bit. He ended up with maybe 4 or 5 catches for 100 yards."
Not bad for a day's work in limited action huh?
After talking with the elder Flowers about the scrimmage we turned our attention back to Red Raiders' program.
"The coaches were telling us a lot about their offense. They work from a spread and sometimes have 5 wide receivers in some of their sets. It's definitely something that really has Hakeem and myself interested in."
"They also talked with how much success they had with Michael Crabtree who just got drafted into the NFL so that's something else that's pretty interesting to look at about Texas Tech. We really like them."
Stay tuned for more concerning the "blowing up" of Hakeem Flowers as his recruitment is taking off in a huge way prior to the September 1st date that official offers can be mailed out.
