SM: Clarence, what's your current height and weight?
CH: Right now I am 6-4, 325 pounds.
SM: You definitely have good size… What position(s) did you play last season for Denmark?
CH: Last year, I played tackle on both sides of the ball.
SM: What were your stats last year?
CH: Last year I had 55 tackles and 2 sacks on defense, and 25 pancakes on offense.
SM: Not bad… So what did you work on in primarily during the off-season/summer in preparation for this fall?
CH: I worked on my speed a lot. Actually, I ran a 5.18 in the forty not too long ago. That's not too bad for a guy my size (laughing).
SM: Wow… With that kind of speed to go along with your size, you must have a number of schools looking at you…
CH: I've got a little bit of schools looking at me right now; North Carolina, Richmond, North Carolina State, Tennessee, Cincinnati, Illinois, Gardner Webb, Central Michigan, and Clemson. I actually spoke with Gardner-Webb and Tennessee on the telephone.
SM: Have you had a chance to visit any of the schools that have been expressing interest in you?
CH: Yes sir. I went to a camp at Richmond a few weeks ago. It was a very good camp. It was a pretty intense camp with a lot of competition out there. I had a chance to talk to Coach London, the Head Coach. He told me that he was going to be coming down to see me this year.
SM: Switching gears to the upcoming '09 season… Football practice is now into full swing for you guys. How has that been going for you?
CH: It's been going real well. We are just working hard trying to get better. We're just trying to get to the point where we can win more games this season.
SM: Any goals/expectations for the upcoming season?
CH: My goal for this season is to work hard, and to do the best that I can do on the field to help my team. I just want to finish out my football career at Denmark-Olar on a high note.
SM: Sounds good… Well, Clarence I do appreciate you taking time out to do this interview with me. I wish you and your team much success on this upcoming season.
CH: Thank-you sir.
