While most guys are garnering accolades for 100 yard game rushing performances, let's just say 2010 Greer RB Dominique Parks is on another level. We've said it before, that he's not the biggest back out there but he continues to punish opponents and find ways to be highly productive.
For the opening game of his senior season saw Parks and his Yellow Jackets take on the Woodruff Wolverines. We knew going in that there probably wouldn't be much defense as both teams boast high powered offenses although they differ in how they produce yardage. Greer has been known for years for their rushing prowess and Woodruff under 2nd year coach Brian Lane loves to toss the ball through the airways. Saturday night there was plenty of scoring and we saw Parks give a stellar performance just as opposing QB Jake Lambert did as well.
One hundred yards, one hundred fifty yards, two hundred yards, two hundred fifty yards, then you get a sense of what Parks was able to do to the Woodruff rush defense all night. In the end Parks ran for 297 yards and 3 touchdowns. The scary part? He had a 63 yard touchdown run called back due to a penalty.
Stay tuned as we'll talk with Parks about his senior season expectations, goals, and recruitment. Check out 3 separate junior video highlights of Parks by clicking below.
