2010 Intro: McCormick High's Kentrell Freeman

SCPrepNation.com is constantly uncovering hidden gems within the Palmetto State. Today we are going to introduce you to McCormick High School LB/TE Kentrell Freeman. Come inside to learn more about the 6-2, 200 pound athlete from out of McCormick, South Carolina.

SM: Kentrell, what is your current height and weight?

KF: I'm around 6-2, 200 pounds.

SM: What do you run in the forty?

KF: I run a 4.6.

SM: Now Kentrell, you play on both sides of the ball for McCormick; LB and TE. Which position do you enjoy playing the most?

KF: Linebacker. I love playing defense. I feel like I am much better player on defense.

SM: Now have you been receiving any attention on the recruiting front?

KF: Yes sir. I've gotten a few letters from The Citadel and Presbyterian. Also, my coach told me that Clemson and Newberry came by the school to check on me.

SM: Who would you say has been coming on the strongest?

KF: Probably Clemson.

SM: Now did you attend any camps on this past summer?

KF: Yes sir. I went to the Clemson Camp, and the Nike Combine.

SM: Switching gears to your senior season on the gridiron. Currently you guys are into Week #3 of the high school football season. How has it been going for you so far?

KF: It's been going great so far. I've recorded about 21 tackles, and 3 sacks in 3 games.

SM: Not bad Kentrell… Now to my understanding you are also a solid student inside the classroom. Tell a little bit about your success in the classroom.

KF: Well I have a 4.0 GPA. I also scored a 1000 on the SAT, excluding the writing part.

SM: That's great. What do you plan to study in college?

KF: I plan to study Pre-med.
