In a battle of unbeatens Dorman withstood falling behind early and flexed their muscle down the stretch against Boiling Springs. The Cavaliers won Friday night's matchup 39-15 as there was little question as to who was the dominant team in this one. Charone Peake took center stage once again for Dave Gutshall's team as the 2011 prospect did a little bit of everything for his squad in the win.
Peake got things going for the Cavaliers catching a 37 yard touchdown pass from QB Johnny Foster in the opening quarter to tie the game at 7-7. The two connected again in the second quarter this time from 43 yards out for another score to push the lead to 14-7.
Peake also showcased his abilities rushing as he scored again in the fourth quarter from 39 yards out.
The 2011 standout finished the night with 6 catches for 141 yards and 2 touchdowns while adding 2 rushes for 46 yards and a touchdown.
The victory sets up another showdown with rivals Byrnes next Friday night. The Cavaliers defeated Byrnes during the regular season a year ago before falling to the Rebels in the playoffs.
