There are players who just seem to have a knack for making big things happen on the football field. Hakeem Flowers is one of those players. The 2011 prospect from Wade Hampton High School exploded on the scene after we first introduced him in early July. The offers started pouring in after a couple of camp visits and his sophomore film started to circulate. Five months later Flowers is one of the most coveted wide receivers in the 2011 class sporting right at 30 scholarship offers.
We sat down with Flowers' father Tristan for an update on the very latest regarding Hakeem's latest offers and plans for the rest of December.
"Hakeem is waiting on offers in the mail from Missouri, Iowa, and Iowa State right now. They have verbally offered already though. I believe that makes 30 offers right now. We have 20 written offers on hand and his coach has more at the school that we need to pick up," Hakeem's father told us.
Flowers won't be sitting idle during the offseason either apparently. Just as he did last offseason he's continuing his stringent workout regimen and already has plans to make a stop later this month.
"We're going down to Orlando for the ESPN combine on the 31st. We'll watch the Under Armour game while we're down there too."
