Univeristy of South Carolina host Top Recruits

The Gamecock coaching staff hosted 61 of the top juniors in the state during the school's annual Junior Day.

Today the University of South Carolina hosted 61 of the top juniors in the state during the annual junior day in Columbia.

Many of the top players in the state ventured to the Capitol City to receive a first look at the University, the athletic facilities and to meet the coaching staff in person.

"I had a great day" stated one recruit. "We got to meet all the coaches and to see the weight room, the locker rooms and the stadium." Coach Holtz greeted us individually and wished me well this season. I thought it was great that he knew who I was and where I went to school"

The day continued with a trip to the new Carolina Center for lunch and the Arkansas and USC basketball game.

According to one recruits' coach, offers were extended to a number of the top players in South Carolina and early word is that the Gamecocks may have received a few early commitments.

The Gamecock staff seems to be working hard to meet and greet the top recruits in state and is working to cement the relationships with these players and their high school. Hopefully the top Palmetto State stars will be attending one of the colleges or universities in South Carolina.
