Martin Lands Big East Offer & Visiting ACC

Pat Martin landed an SEC offer a few days ago, is visiting an ACC school today, and picked up a Big East offer today. Things have been quite busy for the 2011 safety prospect from J.L. Mann High School and he talks inside with SCPrepNation.com about the most recent happenings concerning his recruitment.

Landing his 2nd offer in three days 2011 safety Pat Martin of J.L. Mann High continues to impress college coaches. A fierce competitor who already has a reputation for laying the wood on anyone who crosses his path over the middle.

With his J.L. Mann Patriots moving up to the AAAA ranks from AAA next season it affords Martin the opportunity to take on new competition which is something that he's looking forward to. The Patriots have a number of prospects with D1 and D2 interest on their roster and will make the move with a chance to fare quite well during next season.

Martin gave us a call in regards to his very latest offer, "Cincinnati just offered me. Cincinnati has been producing lately so that's a serious offer to me."

Just two days ago Martin landed an offer from Mississippi State and he talked a little bit about his plans for a possible visit.

"I plan on visiting Mississippi State on the way to visit LSU. I will probably visit Cincinnati in the Fall."

At this point Martin says that he holds no favorites currently. Today he is actually visiting nearby Clemson to check out the Tigers and see what they have to offer.

Martin is set to participate in the VTO Elite 100 combine in North Carolina on Saturday to test and compete against some of the top prospects from both Carolinas and Scout.com will be there to bring you plenty of the action.
