2004 Nike Hoop Summit

USA Basketball announced Tuesday the 10 elite high school seniors who will compete on the 2004 USA Select Team in the Nike Hoop Summit April 4 at The University of Texas at San Antonio.


Ten of America's top high school seniors have been named to the 2004 USA Basketball Men's Junior National Select Team that will compete in the 7th Hoop Summit Presented By Nike, USA Basketball announced Tuesday. The game is played under international rules and will see the USA Select group square off against a World Select Team comprised of players 19 and under.

The University of Texas at San Antonio will host the game on Sunday, April 4 at 2 p.m. (EST) at the UTSA Convocation Center. The contest will be held in conjunction with the NCAA Men's Final Four and will be televised on Fox Sports Net.

The series, which began in 1995, boasts an impressive list of alumnae, including 28 USA players and nine world team members currently playing in the NBA. American NBA standouts with Hoop Summit experience include Ron Artest, Mike Bibby, Elton Brand, Baron Davis, Kevin Garnett, Stephon Marbury and Jermaine O'Neal, while the world team alums include Dirk Nowitzki and Tony Parker.
