Notes: Former No. 7 Naples (Naples, Fla.) drops out after losing to Riverview (Sarasota, Fla.), 28-27, in the Class 5A Region 3 quarterfinals. Former No. 10 Marietta (Marietta, Ga.) was also knocked out after losing to Sequoyah (Canton, Ga.), 17-14, in the second round of the Class AAAAA state playoffs. New No. 9 Riverdale (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) enters the rankings after defeating Smyrna (Smyrna, Tenn.), 35-0, in the second round of the Class 5A state playoffs. Meanwhile, new No. 10 Parkview (Lilburn, Ga.) moves in after crushing McEachern (Powder Springs, Ga.), 37-0, in the second round of the Class AAAAA state playoffs. The Panthers have won 11 straight games since barely losing to nationally ranked Camden County (Kingsland, Ga.), 12-10, in the season opener.


Midwest

The Tarblooders will play St. Ignatius (Cleveland, Ohio) in the Division I, Region 1 final on Nov. 20. Glenville lost to St. Ignatius, 24-21, in the first round of the playoffs last year.

Meanwhile, former No. 8 (Loyola, Calif.) drops out after losing to Santa Margarita (Santa Margarita, Calif.), 20-15. New No. 9 Mullen (Denver, Colo.) enters the rankings after dominating Fairview (Boulder, Colo.), 49-14, in the first round of the Class 5A state playoffs. Senior running back Maurice Greer did most of the damage for Mullen as he ran for 209 yards and six touchdowns on 22 carries. After starting out the season 0-1, new No. 10 Dorsey (Los Angeles, Calif.) carries a nine-game winning streak into the playoffs. Dorsey, which features a SchoolSports Top 100 recruit in senior wide receiver David Gettis, opens at home against San Pedro (San Pedro, Calif.) in the first round of the City Section playoffs on Nov. 19.
