Class of '05: Top 100 Football Recruits

In our postseason Top 100, Eleanor Roosevelt (Greenbelt, Md.) athlete Derrick Williams and Lincoln (Tallahassee, Fla.) wideout Fred Rouse remain as the top two recruits in the country, while East St. John (Reserve, La.) quarterback Ryan Perrilloux enters the top five.

With the high school football season over and National Signing Day less than a month away (Feb. 2), SchoolSports.com unveils its updated, postseason ranking of the nation's Top 100 football recruits in the Class of 2005.

There are 14 additions to these rankings, including new No. 50 Jason Gwaltney, a running back from North Babylon (North Babylon, N.Y.) who distinguished himself as one of the top players in the nation this past fall. Meanwhile, Christian Brothers Academy (Syracuse, N.Y.) quarterback Greg Paulus remains at No. 44 despite signing with Duke for basketball. We felt that Paulus could end up on the gridiron in the future, and his talent is far too great to leave him off this list.
