In a thrilling upset before a crowd of more than 15,000 fans, Jenks defeated Tulsa Union 48-44 Thursday night in the fourth matchup of the SchoolSports Rivalry Tour presented by Old Spice.
Jenks scored the game-winning touchdown with 18 seconds remaining on Isaac Norman's 64-yard touchdown reception from Jake Strain. The final touchdown put the finishing touches on a remarkable fourth quarter comeback that saw Jenks score 28 points and erase a 17-point deficit.
After leading 14-0 through one quarter and 15-14 at halftime, Jenks fell behind in the seconod half and saw themselves trailing 37-20 with 10:32 to play. After Jenks rallied to take a 41-37 lead with just over 3 minutes to play, Union went on an 80-yard drive that culminated in a 10-yard touchdown pass from Casey Whorton to Kegon Beers with 34 seconds left in the game. The score game Union a short-lived 44-41 lead.
Jenks, which finished the game with 462 yards of total offense, had many star performances on the day including two touchdown runs by Chris Adkins and three touchdown passes from Strain. Union totalled 391 yards on the day, led by the receving of Jake Borgsmiller (11 receptions for 163 yards) and the rushing of Renard Johnson (209 yards and one touchdown).
