Notes: No. 10 Nease (St. Augustine, Fla.) defeated then-No. 8 Armwood (Seffner, Fla.), 44-37, in the Class 4A state championship. Nease senior quarterback Tim Tebow, who's one of the nation's top recruits, completed 18-of-27 passes for 237 yards and four touchdowns, including three to senior wide receiver Ryan Ellis, and ran for 153 yards and two touchdowns on 27 carries. Every team in the Southeast rankings has now finished its season.

Junior quarterback Nick Petrino, who's the son of Louisville head football coach Bobby Petrino, completed 12-of-22 passes for 138 yards and a touchdown and ran for 72 yards and a score on 12 carries. Trailing 10-7 late in the fourth quarter, Collin Quade blocked a Lincoln punt and the Crusaders recovered at Lincoln's 3-yard line. Jesuit quarterback Austin Pearce scored on a 3-yard touchdown on the ensuing play and the Crusaders held on to win their second state title in five years and fourth overall. Every team in the West rankings has now finished its season.
