BA-Auburn pipeline could continue

Tennessean Staff Writer Brentwood Academy offensive lineman Mike Berry will make his last of four official visits to SEC schools this weekend when he drives to South Carolina.

Berry, a 6-foot-4, 300-pound offensive tackle, visited Auburn, Vanderbilt and Kentucky before Christmas break.

"At this point my (favorite) is probably Auburn," said Berry, who would reunite with BA grads Kody Bliss, Pete Compton, King Dunlap and John Vaughn on the Plains.

BA alum Jake Slaughter was a senior at Auburn this past year.

"That's important because I can always have somebody down there to help me out," Berry said. "Actually, King was one of my hosts when I went to Auburn. He talked about offensive line coach Hugh Nall and said he's one of the best."
