Former Hillsboro star Fisher finally at UT

Walter Fisher Jr. has been away. Away in a small Kansas town called Coffeyville, to be exact.

More than two years removed from his Class 4A Mr. Football Award and state championship, the former Hillsboro star recently made good on his long-standing commitment to Tennessee.

He signed with the Vols on Dec. 29 after a year and a half at Coffeyville Community College.

"It got me prepared to take the next step, academically and everything," Fisher said.

Fisher is now in Knoxville taking classes and working out with the football team. He will have three years of eligibility after redshirting his first year at Coffeyville.
