Football players urged to monitor dehydration

With the official "dead period" over for area football teams and two-a-days are just right around the corner, temperatures are soaring and the possibility of heat exhaustion and dehydration also increases.

"The threat is real, and with temperatures the way they have been over the past couple of weeks, it can happen before they (the athletes) even realize," said Pope John Paul II head football coach Jeff Brothers.
