‘Cats battle heat, pick up intensity

It was hot, dangerously hot during the first of two-a-day practices for the Oak Ridge Wildcat football team. Coach Stanton Stevens and his staff knew when some of the better-conditioned athletes started having trouble.

"It got hot really fast and we knew we had to do something," Stevens said. "We made the adjustments, came out later in the evening session and things went much better."
