Panthers, 'Kees and Redskins

Tyler Campbell and Josh Hawkins combined for five scores and the Redskins dispatched of Oliver Springs 61-0 in a region 2AA battle. Hawkins continues to impress rushing for almost 100 yards in very limited duty.

Looking Ahead

Loudon looks to seal the second spot in the region behind Alcoa taking on the winless Bulldogs of Wartburg Central. The Redskin rushing attack led by Hawkins and Campbell should continue to get their respective groove on in this contest. The Redskins will continue to get better and prepare themselves for another meeting with the mighty Tornadoes in the second or third round of the playoffs.

Young Cherokees Falls to Coalfield

The Cherokee youth movement continues to show much promise and hope for the future, the present is what the Greenback faithful will have to overcome as of now. Undefeated and state ranked region frontrunner Coalfield got four touchdowns from Brandon Davis and stuck the Cherokees 67-33. Greenback was solid on offense accounting for almost 500 yards including two touchdown tosses from Trae Swaney to Daniel Willis.

Looking Ahead

The Green Wave of Midway will welcome the Cherokees in a game with region implications. The Cherokees could upset the balance of things with a victory over Midway and secure their fortune as the up and coming power they once used to achieve.

Panthers Fall to Halls

Knoxville Halls used the Gary Cooper to Daniel Dayton combination for two scores and slipped by Lenoir City 27-7. Zach Cusick accounted for the only Panther score on a 20 yard jaunt in the second quarter.

Looking Ahead

The Panthers travel to East Knoxville for a date with region foe South Doyle. The Cherokees will be looking to move up the region standings at the expense of the Panthers.
