Hornets Come From Behind

Backup quarterback Landry Stanton came to the rescue and scorched a sweet touchdown toss to veteran receiver Zach Gorman helping the Carter Hornets slip by a pesky Rutledge bunch 13-6.

Carter finishes the season 6-0 in Region 1-3A and 9-1 overall.

Looking Ahead

Carter scored the top seed and welcomes Kingston to the area known as Straw Plains. The Hornets will continue to unleash their solid running attack and hope to have a healthy Mark Allen Bounds back under center.

Coach Heath Woods will prepare his Carter warriors for the balanced offensive attack of the Yellow jackets and their talented tailback Josh King. The senior finished the regular season over 1,000 yards and will be no push over for the Hornets.

The big question is, can Carter get past Dennis Rogan and Fulton, if they were to meet again in the playoffs...
