Speedy RB is hoping to turn some heads

DeMarcus Rogers, 5'10, 175 pound running back from Oak Ridge-Oak Ridge High School (Tenn.) may turn some heads this fall. A relatively unknown prospect may be one of East Tennessee's best kept secrets.

Demarcus Rogers may be one of the best kept secrets in East Tennessee. He reported, "I'm receiving mail from Auburn and Michigan State right now." He went on to say, "I know Auburn is really after me."

One of the schools that Rogers would like to hear more about is Kentucky. He said, "I would really like to hear from Kentucky."

In relation to his strengths on the field Rogers said, "My strengths are my speed, quickness, and vision to see the field." Rogers, who is a speedy athlete, also reported of his time in the forty, "As a sophomore I ran a 4.5 in the 40 yard dash"

He went on to say of his expectations of his team for this season, "I think we're going to do real good." He added, "We had a young team last year and this year everybody knows there roles more better this year."

Things are going to be different this season for Rogers as he said, "I'm going to be playing running back." The move is a change from last season when Rogers was used as a weapon at receiver. He said of being in the backfield, "I'm real excited."

Rogers hopes to get his name out this summer. He explained, "I am definitely going to a lot of football camps this summer."
