Tenn. Lineman Looking For First Offer

Cliff Jones, 6'3, 270 pound offensive lineman from Memphis (Tenn.) University School is looking for his first offer. Find out the latest with Jones and the schools that are recruiting him.

Cliff Jones reported, "Auburn, Alabama, Middle Tennessee State, Vanderbilt are the schools showing the most interest, but I've gotten mail from Illinois, Georgia Tech, and Clemson."

"Alabama was great; a nice place, beautiful campus, and awesome facilities. It was just a great all around place." explained Jones of his visit.

He said of Auburn, "It's just a great campus. Auburn has a great fan base and I've noticed that here in Memphis. I noticed they had great facilities and great campus. I'm going up there in two or three weeks."

Jones will make his first trip to Middle Tennessee State University this Sunday. He commented, "I haven't been to Middle Tennessee State before, but I've talked to the coaches and they're real nice. They have sent me some mail and I'm going to camp there this Sunday. I'll see how I like it then."

He cited his strengths on the field, "I feel I can use my hands very well and I'm working on my footwork. Hopefully when I put those two together I can get done what I need to get done."

"We've got a lot of guys coming back with varsity experience and we should be really good." said Jones of his team's 2008 season.

The stadium at Memphis University School is something special as well. Jones said, "It's an awesome stadium, it draws an awesome crowd, and it's just a great atmosphere."

In addition to camp at Middle Tennessee and Auburn Jones will be going to Vanderbilt for a senior camp.
