East Tennessee Top 12 Prospects for 2008

Here is a look at the top prospects in the East Tennessee area. Find out who made the list.

# 12 – Hakeem Worthen, 6'4.5, 295 pound defensive end from Knoxville – South Doyle (Tenn.) is receiving a lot of interest from several schools. Worthen has listed Tennessee, Auburn, LSU, Michigan State, Rutgers, Indiana, and Vanderbilt. Look for this defensive end to lead South Doyle towards the playoffs.

# 11 – Jebb Lenhart, 6'4, 295 pound offensive guard from Pigeon Forge (Tenn.) is receiving interest from Mississippi State, Southern Miss, Tennessee, Virginia, and Vanderbilt. He hopes to contribute to the Tigers this season in a big way.

# 10 – Hunter Beedle, 6'3, 270 pound offensive guard from Kingsport – Sullivan South (Tenn.) has many schools interested in him. Beedle listed the schools after him as Auburn, Kentucky, Louisville, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, and Virginia. Beedle thinks his team has a good shot to go deep in the playoffs this year.

# 9 – Cole Lail, 6'1, 220 pound linebacker from Maryville – William Blount (Tenn.) has been keeping in touch with Auburn, Louisville, Marshall, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt. Lail is anticipating an undefeated season.

# 8 – Tyler Clark, 6'3 pound quarterback from Oak Ridge (Tenn.) is receiving some interest from Louisville and Tennessee. He hopes to lead Oak Ridge deep in the playoffs this year at the quarterback position.

#7 – Keenan Kolinsky, 6'1, 212 pound tailback from Knoxville – Christian Academy of Knoxville (Tenn.) already has one offer and is receiving a lot of interest. Kolinsky already has an offer from Air Force and receiving a lot of interest from Alabama, Stanford, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt. Kolinsky hopes his powerful running style will take CAK onto an undefeated season.

# 6 – Kevin Revis, 6'4, 270 pound offensive guard from Evensville – Rhea County (Tenn.) already has one offer and is hoping to get a few more this summer. Revis has an offer from Duke and is gaining a lot of interest from Clemson, Penn State, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt. Revis will lead a big offensive line as Rhea County looks to challenge Maryville in 4A.

# 5 – Jay Fullam, 6'1, 190 pound safety from Chattanooga – McCallie School (Tenn.) is one of the few prospects in Tennessee already committed to play in the SEC next season. Fullam has given his verbal commitment to Vanderbilt. Fullam hopes to lead McCallie into the playoffs this season.

# 4 – DeMarcus Knight, 6'2, 205 pound linebacker from Morristown – East High School (Tenn.) is a verbal commitment to Ole Miss. This linebacker prospect looks to lead his team this season on defense as he gets ready for his future in the SEC.

# 3 – David Jones, 6', 205 pound running back from South Pittsburg (Tenn.) is hoping to lead the Pirates back to the state championship. Jones has offers from Middle Tennessee, Memphis, Mississippi State, and Vanderbilt. Jones may be at a 1A school, but he may be one of the best backs across the state.

# 2 – Will Jackson, 6'4, 280 pound offensive guard from Knoxville – Farragut (Tenn.) has several offers and hopes to land a few more over the summer. Jackson reports offers from Georgia Tech, Mississippi, West Virginia, North Carolina State, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, and Marshall. Jackson hopes to be able to trim his list early this summer and potentially commit before his senior season.

# 1 – Daniel Hood, 6'5, 260 pound tight end from Knoxville – Catholic (Tenn.) has several early offers. Hood reports offers from Auburn, Tennessee, Georgia Tech, Louisville, Florida State, Colorado, and Stanford. Hood has several options and looks forward to the process. Look for Hood to have a big season for the Irish.
