Tenn. RB Talks About His Early Commitment

Find out why Dominque Allen, 6', 250 pound fullback from Paris – Henry County (Tenn.) committed to Tennessee early. Allen also spoke about his role as a Volunteer recruiter.

Dominque Allen said, "I knew before Tennessee offered me I was going to commit. They were the school I was waiting on. I went to see other schools but they were nothing compared to Tennessee. I was born and raised a Tennessee fan. I really like the team."

Allen said of other schools pursuing him by saying, "Not really, they are all after my teammate Marsalis Teague."

As a commitment Allen has shifted his focus towards his senior season and trying to recruit his teammate, Marsalis Teague, to Tennessee. Allen explained, "I'm trying my best right now. It's going great. He is going to Miami this weekend and he is going to see different schools because he is not sure where he wants to go, but Tennessee is at the top of the list."

He commented, "I'm going to play fullback. I've got good feet for a big back. I'm a hard nosed football player." Allen said of his team, "This spring we had a lot of work to do on the line, but everything is going to fall in place. To win state is the main thing right now."
