Tenn. QB Takes in Memphis Camp

Nathan Jolley, 6-2, 200 pound quarterback from Germantown - Houston High School (Tenn.) talked about his latest college visit. Find out what Jolley thought about Memphis and their program.

Nathan Jolley said of his performance at the Memphis University camp, "I started off a little slow, but I ended up getting my arm warm and making the throws I'm capable of making. I think once again my speed surprised them a little bit. I made good throws on the run. I was pretty accurate as well."

At the end of the day Jolley was pleased with his performance. Jolley explained of a future offer, "They said they take quarterback slowly and may not offer a guy until later in the season."

Jolley is very familiar with the Memphis program and really seems to enjoy the Tigers. He explained, "I've been around the Memphis program quite awhile. My brother in law played here and graduated in 2001 and my sister went there too. I think it would be awesome to play for them and they are becoming a bowl team year in and year out now. I like the coaches and they are down to earth."

He commented, "The campus is pretty nice. They have a nice weight room, indoor practice facility, and practice field. Overall it's nice and I like it."

One positive for Jolley sees in Memphis is the coaching staff. He said, "I think they are nice down to earth folks. Obviously they know how to coach because I think they are picked to win their division this year. They definitely know what they are talking about and they know how to relate to their players real well. It seemed like they get along with their players."

As far as future plans he commented, "On Saturday I will be visiting Duke for their senior camp and on Sunday I will go to the UnderArmour/Scout.com combine in Atlanta."
