Tenn. RB Gaining Interest From Schools

James Walker, 6-0, 212 pound running back from Germantown-Houston High School (Tenn.) has a very busy summer ahead of him. Walker, the nephew of Arkansas great and current Oakland Raider Darren McFadden, plans to travel during the TSSAA dead period to train with his uncle in Oakland. Find out what schools he hopes to impress with his training and his 2008 senior season.

James Walker currently does not hold any offers, but he reported, "I am receiving interest from Southern Miss, Middle Tennessee, and Arkansas State."

Walker said of Southern Miss, "I really liked it. Everything was close together. I really liked the facilities and the coaches were very nice. They said they want to see the first three games on film and they would not be surprised to offer then."

An in state school after Walker is Middle Tennessee. He explained, "I am not as sure of Middle Tennessee but they said the same things as Southern Miss. The facilities are nice and the coaches are very down to earth."

Walker just recently came back from camp at Arkansas State. He said, "I went to a three day camp at Arkansas State and got to meet the coaches, they were really cool. I really liked the head coach."

The relationship his uncle had with Coach Houston Nutt has perked Walker's interest in Ole Miss. He commented, "I'm not really looking at Arkansas really, but I am still going to Ole Miss camp in July. I still have an interest in Ole Miss. It's nice because it's really close by only about an hour away. The facilities are really nice."

"I'm looking for a chance to play. I want a school that really wants me to go there." explained Walker. He added, "I'm going to the Ole Miss camp and then I'm going to Oakland to train with my uncle a little bit."
