Tenn. DB Hoping to Get More Attention

Find out who this Tennessee cornerback is getting interest from and which schools have impressed him this summer. JaJuan Brooks also talked about his team and his expectations for Wilson Central in 2008.

JaJuan Brooks said, "I've gone to camps at Tennessee and Vanderbilt. Middle Tennessee is recruiting me too, they came to our school."

While at camp at Tennessee Brooks said, "I like it because they have a nice campus. They've got a pretty nice weight room and we practiced in the indoor facility and I liked it. I met most of the coaches and we talked about recruiting. They are sending mail and keeping in touch. I went to a few games last year as a recruit."

Another SEC school Brooks has been able to visit is Vanderbilt. He explained, "I liked the coaches they were pretty cool and they taught me some things I didn't know. I can take it back and help my team. They said of an offer it depends on how my senior year goes."

Middle Tennessee is beginning to put some attention into recruiting Brooks. He commented, "I haven't been there yet, but Coach Aric told me they are really interested in me and they came to watch me at practice and to a few basketball games."

As far as what he is looking for in a school Brooks said, "I want to get a good education and I just want to play at the next level."

Brooks described his strengths as, "I'm a team player. I would do anything to help my team win." He went on to say, "I'm going to try and improve on my defensive back skills and my leadership. I want to try and lead my team to a state championship."

After a solid season and a trip to the quarterfinals the expectations for Wilson Central are high this season. Brooks said, "I think we have a pretty good chance of going to state. We've had a couple of scrimmages already and we are looking pretty good. We've got a good senior class and all we have to do is come together and it will be fine."
