Jebb Lenhart, 6-4, 295 pound offensive guard from Pigeon Forge (Tenn.) is keeping his spirits up about his team's 0-4 start. Lenhart said of the season, "It seems to be going good, but we haven't been able to pull it out on Friday nights." As a senior leader on the team he identified areas to improve by saying, "I think playing harder towards the very end of the game. We have to be able to push it in the red zone more often."
As far as his individual play Lenhart feels good, but is constantly working harder to get better. He explained, "I feel really good and I am working on my quickness and coming off the ball."
Lenhart made his verbal pledge to become the first commitment in the 2009 recruiting class for Western Kentucky earlier this summer. He said of the Hilltoppers, "They are still sending me letters like I haven't talked to them yet. They still seem like they care a lot and they have been calling as often as they can. I am going to get up there as often as possible."
His commitment to Western Kentucky is solid enough that he plans to help them recruit other players. He explained, "I have been in contact with Sean Conway. Every once in a while we talk about it on Facebook. I tell him how I feel about it and see if he feels the same way and I think he does."
He said of the Hilltoppers and their season so far, "I have followed them, but I haven't been able to see them on television."
