Game One: Nashville-Montgomery Bell Academy vs. Nashville-Ensworth

VS.

This is arguably the biggest match up in the entire state. This game matches two undefeated teams in division II, but more importantly it is a part of one of the newest most intense rivalries in the state. Fans can expect to see Spencer Wise, 6-0, 175 pounds along with teammate Wesley Johnson, 6-5, 250 pound offensive guard to put on a big show this Friday night. For Wise and Johnson they look to help their Nashville-Montgomery Bell Academy Big Red team improve to 7-0 on the season and win game number twenty in a row.

The Tigers from Nashville-Ensworth will have to continue to have big numbers from their two big time playmakers Tavarres Jefferson and Orleans-Opoku Darkwa. Last week against Chattanooga-McCallie the duo rushed for 370 yards and five touchdowns. The combination of both Jefferson and Darkwa has really paid dividends in several games across the state and hopes to gain some momentum this Friday night in a huge region match up.

PrepTennessee.com Prediction:

The Tigers have been rolling up some impressive stats and are looking to show the state they are the top team. For the Big Red playing in the big game is becoming a weekly event. When you are the top team in the state you play every week with a target on your back which is a position the Big Red is used to having.

Game Two: Knoxville-Catholic vs. Andersonville-Anderson County

VS.

In East Tennessee fans should take some time to check out one of the top region games as the Irish from Knoxville-Catholic take on the Mavericks from Andersonville-Anderson County. The Irish are led by three star prospect tight end Daniel Hood, 6-5, 260 pounds, who hopes to show his skills to help his team take in this important win. Other key players to watch on the Irish squad include offensive guard Will Coulter and junior tailback Dorian Cozart. He is quickly rising as one of the top prospects in the class of 2010.

This game would help the Mavericks take sole possession of the region lead. Coach Larry Kerr and his team will provide the Mavericks a chance to win with players like Zeke Rogers and J.B. Young. The Mavericks hope to improve their record to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the region. This match up will determine the fist place position and eventually home field advantage in the playoffs.

PrepTennessee.com Prediction:

The Irish have been able to get a few miles out of Jodan Howanitz and Dorian Cozart in place of injured back Zach Vann. The overall attitude of the Irish and their running game has been tough and solid. Coach Mark Pemberton hopes to establish that running game early and often.

Game Three: Savannah-Hardin County vs. Jackson-Northside

VS.

The Indians of Jackson-Northside hope to be able to get things going this Friday night against area opponent Savannah-Hardin County. The Indians have had a slow start to the season with a record of only one win with five losses. They will look to running back Zachary Cole to help carry the load tonight if they plan on hanging with the Tigers from Savannah-Hardin County.

The Tigers on the other hand are led by Memphis commitment quarterback Will Gilchrist, 6-2, 190 pounds hopes to improve on his team's record. The Tigers have had solid performance all season from Gilchrist including last week's victory. Gilchrist was 18 of 23 with 274 yards passing plus three touchdowns last Friday as his team cruised to victory. Fans should watch for his elusive moves and great speed which allow him to make big plays with his legs. On the other hand teams have to honor his arm which allows him to throw strikes down the field.

PrepTennessee.com Prediction:

A long season looks to get longer for the home team tonight. Expect Gilchrist and company to open this game up early and pour on often. This week could lead to a performance similar to last week's for the Tigers and Gilchrist.
