Tenn. QB Having Solid Season

Find out more about quarterback Nathan Jolley and his big senior season. Learn more about what programs are trying to recruit Jolley and which schools have his interest

Nathan Jolley, 6-2, 200 pound quarterback from Germantown-Houston High School (Tenn.) said of the schools showing him the most interest, "Right now it would probably be Oklahoma State, Louisiana Tech, Arkansas State, and Middle Tennessee recruiting me the most."

He went on to say, "Coach Hines from Louisiana Tech actually called me from Hawaii when they were playing out there. That was pretty neat." Jolley has had a chance to check out Louisiana Tech this summer and liked what he saw. He explained, "I went to a one day camp because they do not have a senior camp. Coach Hines already knew me and that was real nice. I got to work out in front of them and they liked what they saw. Hopefully an offer will come. I really liked it down there because they have a nice campus and nice facilities."

As far as landing that first offer Jolley commented, "A lot of schools are waiting until after the season is done it seems like. I know a lot of the coaches are pretty busy right now. A lot of them want to see more film and wait until the season ends."

There are many schools showing Jolley a lot of interest right now but there is one that seems to stand out. He said, "I would say Louisiana Tech right now has been contacting me the most. I think it would be them first."

As for Jolley's team so far in the 2008 season he reported, "We are doing well. We are 6-2 and we just came off a big win against Germantown (Tenn.) 42-21. I had a few rushing touchdowns." Jolley has thrown for 643 yards and rushed for 248 yards so far in the 2008 season.

Jolley said of taking an official visit to any of the schools, "I think a lot of the schools will do an official after the season is done."
