Wesley Johnson, 6-5, 250 pound offensive tackle from Nashville-Montgomery Bell Academy has had a busy recruiting process. There have been several teams trying to get Johnson on campus and trying to get the three star linemen interested in their programs. However there have been two that have really separated themselves. He reported, "I have narrowed it down to Auburn and Vanderbilt."
The close proximity to Vanderbilt has helped Johnson make a few unofficial visits to see the Commodores including a trip to the Florida game. The Commodores have remained a strong candidate for Johnson throughout the process and continue to be the leader. Johnson said, "I would say Vanderbilt is still leading. I know what they are all about. I am still going to look at Auburn."
Johnson is looking for a program he knows he will fit into and can relate with the players and staff. He explained, "I want to know how I will fit into the school." The season ended in the semi-finals for Johnson and his teammates this past Friday night with a 35-7 loss to Memphis-University School. With more time left for his decision Johnson hopes to make up his mind. He said of his timetable to make a decision, "I think I will make my decision sometime near the end of this season."
