The West squad hopes some of the top skill position players in the state will help them move the ball this Saturday. The squad carries a considerable amount of top prospects on the roster including skill players on both sides of the football.
On offense the West will have a battle this week in practice between four star quarterback Marsalis Teague, 5'11, 174 pounds from Paris-Henry County and Miami (OH) commitment Jamal Ramsey, 6'1.5, 174 pounds from Franklin-Battle Ground Academy. Both bring great athleticism to the table and both have a good presence in the pocket. For Teague he will be able to hand off to a familiar face as he will be joined by teammate and LSU commitment fullback Dominique Allen, 6', 250 pounds also from Paris-Henry County.
When the West takes to the air they will have some solid targets to hit including Tennessee commitment Zach Rogers, 6-1, 170 pounds from Nashville-David Lipscomb. Rogers will be joined by a duo of state champion Burros from Nashville-Hillsboro Corey Jordan and Alex Crutcher.
The West team looks to be able to provide some significant firepower in hopes of giving the West its first victory in the contest. The combination of Teague to Rogers or Ramsey to Jordan could create a nightmare for the East secondary.
