THEOLDCOACH was in Bridgeport Thursday evening for the scrimmage between Class 4A schools Springtown and Bridgeport.
We caught up with second year Springtown HC Brian Hulett prior to the scrimmage to get his thoughts on the upcoming season and how the Porcupines stack up. In his first year at the helm, Springtown went 7-4, but expectations are much higher this year in Northwest Tarrant County.
In THEOLDCOACH Friday Night Football Magazine Springtown was picked to finish second behind powerhouse Kennedale, however Coach Hulett has bigger hopes.
”I think we have a shot to be really good, Springtown is a great job and situation for me and my family. The facilities, support from community and administration is first class, it’s great. My dad was a head coach for over 30 years in Texas, I’ve been around high school football in Texas all my life and I couldn’t be happier,” said Coach Hulett.
