The Old Coach FNF Magazine Announces an "Exclusive Edition" for Texas Walmarts

THE OLD COACH FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL ANNOUNCES AN "EXCLUSIVE EDITION" AVAILABLE ONLY AT WALMART'S IN TEXAS THAT FEATURES A TEXAS HIGH SCHOOL RECORD BOOK

High school football season is almost here and – for the first time – The Old Coach Friday Night Football Texas Magazine Walmart edition will be available to fans.

The Old Coach Friday Night Football Texas, or The Old Coach FNF Texas, is produced annually by The Old Coach, who publishes TheOldCoach.com through Scout.com, a digital media network, and A.E. Engine, a publishing company that produces similar high school football previews in Florida, Georgia, the Carolinas and Alabama under the FNF brand.

"Texas is football and our website covers high school football statewide like no other so it was a natural extension to produce a preview magazine," said The Old Coach. "The vision with our inaugural magazine was to be 100 percent Texas high school football and to focus on all the classifications as equally as possible. We have done that consistently and our product keeps improving each year."

The Old Coach FNF Texas Walmart edition, which retails for the regular price of $8.95, includes two unique features:

• A Walmart-exclusive cover featuring two of the top senior quarterbacks in the state of Texas: DeSoto’s Shawn Robinson and Austin Westlake’s Sam Ehlinger.

• A Walmart-exclusive 36-page Texas High School Football Record Book researched and edited by Texas High School Football Historian Joe Lee Smith.

"This year we believe we knocked it out of the park with our exclusive cover found only in Walmart's across Texas. We have the top two quarterbacks in the state representing Texas high school football and state football historian Joe Lee Smith's extensive record book included in every magazine. You will not find that anywhere else but with our partner vendor, Walmart," said The Old Coach.

Robinson, who transferred from Denton Guyer this spring, is committed to TCU. Ehlinger, Ehlinger, who accounted for 70 total touchdowns as a junior, is committed to the University of Texas.

The record book features the top team, individual, coach and playoff records as compiled by Texas high school football historian Joe Lee Smith of texashighschoolfootballhistory.com.

The cover of the record book features the state’s all-time touchdown king Johnathan Gray, formerly of Aledo High School.

Each of these special features can only be found in the special edition magazine which can only be found at Walmart locations throughout the state starting on July 9.

“We are very excited to be able to deliver to Texas high school football fans across the state this unique collection of publications,” said FNF Texas publisher Craig Baroncelli. “The record book is something that has been on our radar for years, and while we could not publish all of the records, we think readers will be pleased with what we produced. This book is a great way to relive great memories of Texas high school football.”
