After 32 years in the school business Littlefield’s Bryan Huseman has announced his retirement.
Huseman has spent the past 26 years at Littlefield beginning in 1991 as an assistant football coach and the head basketball coach for the Wildcats.
Huseman took over as the head football coach and Athletic Director in 2001 after the retirement of Lewis Boomer. After 16 years Huseman leaves with a career record of 132-61-0 in football.
Huseman guided the girls basketball team to the state finals in 1993 and state championship game in football in 2006 where the Wildcats lost to Tatum 32-16.
In Huseman’s final season the Wildcats started out 2-3 but ended with a 9-4 record and earned the program’s first district title since 2012. Under Huseman Littlefield won six district football titles and made 14 playoff berths.
