Michael Odle returns home as the head football coach

Michael Odle was the starting quarterback when the Lewisville Framers won the 1996 Class 5A Division I State football championship. Odle now returns to his alma mater as the head football coach replacing Gregg Miller. This is Odle’s first head football coach position.

Odle has been the offensive coordinator for two seasons under Brian Brazil at Lewisville Hebron. Odle was an assistant coach at Flower Mound Marcus and the offensive coordinator at Barbers Hill High School for Ronnie Gage. Prior to his stop at Hebron Odle spent three seasons at Coppell as the offensive coordinator.

Miller leaves Lewisville after five seasons as the head coach with an overall record of 15-35. Miller accepted the defensive coordinator position at Texarkana Texas High under Gerry Stanford who left Flower Mound Marcus in late February to take the reins for the Tigers.

Odle was a three-year letterman in football and baseball at Lewisville High from 1994 to 1997. As a senior he guided the Farmers to a 15-0 season running Ronnie Gage’s wishbone offense. The undefeated season culminated with a 58-34 win over Converse Judson in the state title game in front of over 20,000 fans at Baylor's Floyd Casey Stadium.

Odle had 140 yards rushing in the game and didn’t complete a pass in the championship game because Gage's Farmers didn’t attempt any passes in the win.

Odle is a graduate of the University of North Texas.
