Grandview ISD has hired long-time Wolfforth Frenship’s coach Brad Davis as the Zebras' new head football coach and athletic director.
Davis replaces Casey Walraven who resigned to take the head football coaching position in Cleburne. Walraven went 43-15 in his five seasons as head coach in Grandview as he led the Zebras to the postseason four times.
Davis announced his resignation from Frenship last November after coaching in the program for 31 years including the past eleven seasons as the head coach compiling an overall record of 102-34. Under Davis the Tigers won eight district championships and qualified for the playoffs ten times.
This is the first coaching change for Davis who has spent his entire coaching career at Frenship.
Davis, who graduated from Texas Tech University, has received honors such as district coach of the year, city coach of the year and South Plains Coach of the Year.
