6A/Cedar Hill   Joey McGuire  Carlos Lynn     11-3     McGuire leaves Cedar Hill after 14 years at the helm to join Matt Rhule’s staff at Baylor. McGuire took Cedar Hill from a dormant program that had never won a playoff game to three state championships - 2006, 2013, 2014 - and amassed a 141-42 record in 14 years as boss of the Longhorns. Former Cedar Hill DC and Arlington Seguin HC Lynn hired to replace McGuire.

6A/Cibolo Steele         Scott Lehnhoff David Saenz   14-2     Lehnhoff is promoted to the AD position in SCUCISD. Lehnhoff was the second coach in Steele history, and compiled a four-year record of 52-8. Steele DC Saenz promoted to HC.

6A/Cypress Falls        Kirk Eaton       Chris Brister    2-8       Eaton earns promotion to assistant AD of CFISD. He was 36-30 in six years with the Golden Eagles, including a 10-3 campaign in 2015. Falls DC Brister promoted to HC.

6A/Edinburg Vela        Michael Salinas           John Campbell            9-2       Salinas, the only coach in Vela’s five-year history, leaves to take over at Weslaco. The Sabercats were 36-20 under Salinas, including a 12-1 campaign in 2015. Former SA Brandeis and SA Madison HC Campbell hired as Vela’s second coach.

6A/Flower Mound Marcus       Gerry Stanford            Kevin Atkinson            5-5       Stanford leaves Marcus after three seasons to take over at Texarkana (Texas) High. The Marauders were 20-12 under Stanford, including a 10-2 campaign in 2015. Denton HC Atkinson hired to take over at Marcus.

6A/Houston C.E. King Don Price        Derek Fitzhenry          1-9       Price is leaving C.E. King after five years. He was 26-28 during that time, which included trips to the area round in 2014 and 2015. GP North Shore assistant HC Fitzhenry hired to take over at King. Fitzhenry has previous HC experience at Giddings and Pine Tree.

6A/Houston MST         Mike Watkins   Blake Besselman        1-9       Watkins resigns after just one season at MST - formerly known as Sam Houston. The Tigers, who were repurposed from Sam Houston to MST (Math, Science and Technology) in 2010, have won just four games since then and seek their fifth head coach in as many seasons. Fulshear assistant Besselman hired to take over at MST.

6A/Houston Strake Jesuit       James Clancy Mark Modeste  5-5       Clancy leaves Strake after five seasons to take over at Klein Cain - Klein ISD’s fifth high school. During Clancy’s tenure, the Crusaders were 19-34, and reached the region semifinals during an 8-5 campaign in 2015. Modeste comes from California to Houston to coach Strake.

6A/Katy Morton Ranch            Dave Meadows           Ron Counter   5-6       Meadows, a 40-year coaching veteran with stops in Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma, has retired. He was 36-49 in eight years at Morton Ranch. Counter comes to Morton Ranch from 4A Stafford.

6A/Katy Tompkins       Tony Tademy  Todd McVey    2-8       Tademy, the only coach in Tompkins history, leaves after a 5-25 mark in three seasons. KISD moves assistant AD McVey to head up the Falcons. McVey has previous head coaching experience at McKinney and Harker Heights, and worked with Tademy at McKinney.

6A/Killeen Shoemaker            Johnnie Fair    Toby Foreman            0-10     Fair resigns from Shoemaker after one season. Prior to coaching the Grey Wolves, Fair was an assistant at his alma mater Killeen and a pair of San Antonio schools - Brandeis and Reagan. KISD hires Beaumont Central HC Foreman to take the reigns at Shoemaker.

6A/Kyle Lehman          Todd Raymond           Josh Kirkland  3-7       Raymond leaves Lehman after five seasons to become the AD of Pflugerville ISD. The Lobos were 9-41 under Raymond. EP Parkland HC Kirkland takes over at Lehman.

6A/Klein Oak   David Smith    Jason Glenn    7-4       Smith resigns from KOHS after 21 years at the helm. He also coached at Oklahoma under Barry Switzer and at Baytown Lee prior to his two-decades long stint at Klein Oak. DC Glenn, a former Texas A&M and NFL player, promoted to HC. Glenn was HC at Houston Chavez for one season.

6A/Laredo LBJ            Oki Villasenor  Alfonso Calderon        1-9       Villasenor resigns from the United ISD school after nine seasons and a 30-61 record at the school. The Wolves reached the postseason in 2014 - their only one in the school’s 13-year history of varsity football. Calderon leaves his post as assistant AD of United ISD to take over at LBJ.

6A/Lewisville   Gregg Miller     Michael Odle   3-7       Miller leaves Lewisville after five years to take the DC job at Texarkana (Texas) High. The Fighting Farmers were 15-35 in five years under Miller and never made the playoffs. Hebron OC Odle returns to his alma mater to run the program. Odle was QB of Lewisville’s 1996 state championship team.

6A/Mesquite    Robbie Robinson        Jeff Fleener     3-7       Robinson retires after spending nearly three decades at Mesquite. A member of the Skeeters staff since 1989, Robinson took over the program in 2008 and posted a 40-56 record, which included a 7-6 region semifinal run in 2011. MISD hires SA Brandeis HC Fleener to take the reigns.

6A/Midland       Craig Yenzer   Tim Anuszkiewicz       9-3       Yenzer retires after 15 years at Midland High. He posted a 103-70 record with the Bulldogs, which included a trip to the state championship game in 2002. Anuszkiewicz promoted from DC to HC.

6A/Pharr-San Juan-Alamo      Steve Marroquin          Lupe Rodriguez          3-7       Marroquin, a PSJA alum, was 16-25 in four years at his alma mater. He guided the Bears to the playoffs in 2014. Rodriguez comes to PSJA from Mission Veterans Memorial, where he served as the OC.

6A/PSJA Southwest    Jesus Reyes   Mike Evans      4-6       The only coach in Southwest has ever known resigns after a 17-35 record in five years. Reyes led the Javelinas to the postseason in 2014 and 2015. Evans comes to Southwest from Brownsville Veterans Memorial, where he served as the DC.

6A/Round Rock Cedar Ridge Shawn Bell      Sam Robinson            11-1     Bell guided Cedar Ridge to an 11-1 record in his only stint at the six-year-old school. Bell, a former Baylor quarterback, will return to his alma mater as a member of Matt Rhule’s staff. Prior to his year at Cedar Ridge, Bell was 44-27 at six seasons at Magnolia West. Robinson promoted from DC to HC.

6A/San Antonio Brandeis        Jeff Fleener     David Branscom         7-4       Fleener leaves Brandeis after two seasons and a 14-9 record. The Broncos went to the playoffs both seasons under the Mesquite-bound Fleener. DC Branscom promoted to HC.

6A/San Antonio Holmes          Eddie Salas     Juan Morales   5-5       Salas leaves Holmes after four seasons to take over at Northside ISD’s 11th high school, Harlan, which opens in the fall. During his four-year tenure with the Huskies, Salas was 9-31. Morales leaves SA Highlands to take over at Holmes.

6A/San Antonio Madison         John Campbell            Blaine Pederson         4-7       Campbell leaves Madison after one season. Despite the losing record, the Mavericks still made the playoffs in Campbell’s only campaign there. SA Johnson DC Pederson hired to be Madison’s fourth coach in the last five seasons.

6A/San Antonio Reagan          David Wetzel  Lyndon Hamilton         Wetzel, who took Reagan to the postseason nine times in his 13-year tenure at the school that opened in 1999, leaves to join the staff at his college alma mater, Baylor. Wetzel earned a 114-41 record and took the Rattlers to the state quarterfinals five times during his tenure. He also had head coaching stints at Austin Hyde Park and Killeen. Hamilton was promoted from DC to take over for the Rattlers.

6A/Spring        Sam Parker     Trent Miller      9-3       Parker leaves Spring after seven seasons and a 41-38 record to take over at Tomball Memorial. The Lions were 30-9 over the last three years under Parker’s lead. OC Miller promoted to HC.

6A/The Woodlands College Park       Richard Carson          Lonnie Madison           1-9       Carson, the only coach in College Park’s 11-year history, announced his retirement. The Cavaliers are 46-66 in their brief history, including a 9-2 campaign in 2007. Carson retires with a record of 110-80. Klein Collins DC Madison hired to take over at CP.

6A/Tyler Lee    Clayton George           Kurt Traylor     2-8       George leaves Lee after one season. The Red Raiders won just twice in their only season under the former Southlake Carroll OC, who coached current NFL QB Chase Daniel and TCU QB Kenny Hill. Gilmer OL coach Traylor takes the Lee job.

6A/Weatherford           Weldon Nelms            Billy Mathis      2-8       Nelms announces his retirement after an illustrious career and 248 career wins. Nelms led Wimberley to state championships in 2005 and 2011. Aledo DC Mathis hired to take over at WHS.

6A/Weslaco    Tony Villarreal Michael Salinas           5-5       Villarreal reassigned after 13 years at the helm in Weslaco. The Panthers were 92-57 during this tenure, which included back-to-back 10-3 campaigns in 2006 and 2007. Villarreal has an all-time record of 197-104-4, and has coached at Port Isabel, PSJA North and Brownsville Hanna prior to his stint at Weslaco. WISD hires Edinburg Vela HC Salinas to the same position at WHS.

6A/Wofforth Frenship  Brad Davis      Jay Northcutt   5-6       Davis leaves Frenship after 11 seasons and a 102-34 record at the helm that included a semifinal appearance in 2006 and quarterfinal appearances in 2007, 2008 and 2012. Frenship hires Sachse OC Northcutt to take over.


5A/Alice           Justen Evans  Kyle Atwood    7-3       Evans leaves Alice after one season to take over at CC Miller. The Coyotes will be in search of their third coach in as many seasons. Grape Creek HC Atwood hired at Alice.

5A/A&M Consolidated David Raffield  Lee Fedora      Raffield leaves Consol after six seasons, six postseason appearances and a 46-26 record to pursue other opportunities. He also helped open Cypress Falls in 1992, where he spent the first 11 seasons as an assistant to Wayne Hooks before taking the head coaching job in 2003. Consol alum and former Navasota coach Fedora takes over. Fedora led Navasota to state championships in 2012 and 2014.

5A/Arlington Seguin     Carlos Lynn     Joe Gordon     7-4       Lynn leaves Seguin to take over at Cedar Hill, where he won a state title in 2006 as a DC. The Cougars were 45-50 in nine seasons under Lynn. Arlington DC Gordon takes over Seguin.

5A/Baytown Lee          David Wilkinson          Tim Finn          1-9       Wilkinson leaves Lee after three disappointing seasons. The Ganders won just once during his tenure and endured a 1-29 record in that timeframe. Wharton HC Finn takes the job at Lee.

5A/Beaumont Central Toby Foreman            Jeff Nelson      5-6       Foreman leaves Central to take over at Killeen Shoemaker. The Jaguars were 25-21 in five seasons under Foreman, including an 8-4 campaign in 2014. Central assistant Nelson promoted from within.

5A/Brownsville Pace   Bill Deen          Daniel Pardo   3-7       Deen leaves Pace to become the OC at Brownsville Porter. The Vikings were 11-39 in five seasons under Deen. LB coach Pardo promoted to HC.

5A/Brownsville Porter Tom Campos  Carlos Uresti   0-10     Campos leaves the coaching field after a three-year stint at Porter. On Campos’ watch, the Cowboys were 8-33, including a 6-5 campaign and a playoff appearance in 2015. OC Uresti promoted to HC.

5A/Bryan Rudder        Will Compton  Greg Morgan   2-8       Compton, Rudder’s second coach in the school’s nine-year history, leaves the school after three seasons and a 6-24 record. Prior to his stint in the Brazos Valley, Compton was an assistant at Conroe Oak Ridge. Former Madisonville HC Morgan takes over the Rangers.

5A/Cleburne    Jeff Merket       Casey Walraven         7-4       Merket leaves Cleburne after five seasons. The Yellowjackets were 27-25 under Merket, who took them to the postseason in 2012 and 2016. Grandview HC Walraven hired to take over at Cleburne.

5A/Clint Horizon          Francisco Vargas       Paulo Melendez          2-8       Vargas leaves Horizon after two seasons. The Scorpions were 3-17 under Vargas. EP Eastwood OL coach Melendez takes over at Horizon.

5A/Corpus Christi Carroll        Jerry Long       A.J. Martinez   5-6       Long is out at Carroll after one season citing personal reasons for leaving. Prior to his year in Corpus Christi, Long built a dynasty at East Bernard (2004-15) where he compiled a 99-27 record and a 2012 state championship in 12 seasons there. Carroll hires Odem HC Martinez to take over.

5A/Corpus Christi Miller          Remy Rodriguez         Justen Evans  1-9       Rodriguez retires from coaching. He spent the last 10 seasons at Miller, where he posted a 27-75 record and took the Buccaneers to the playoffs in 2010 and 2012. Evans hired from Alice to head up Miller.

5A/Corpus Christi Tuloso-Midway      Brian Boone    Wade Miller     1-9       Boone leaves his alma mater, Tuloso-Midway, after five seasons and a 13-37 record. The Warriors missed the postseason each season under Boone. Woodsboro HC Miller hired to take over at T-M.

5A/Dallas Adams        Hank Willis      Sean Lorance 5-6       Willis leaves Bryan Adams after two seasons to take over at SA Highlands. The Cougars were 11-10 under Willis, which included a playoff appearance last season. Irving Macarthur DC Lorance takes over.

5A/Denton       Kevin Atkinson            N/A      9-2       Atkinson leaves Denton after five seasons to take over at Flower Mound Marcus. The Broncos were 33-22 in five seasons under Atkinson, and made it to the postseason each of the last three years.

5A/El Paso Austin       Rodney Ryan  Eric Pichardo  0-10     Ryan leaves Austin after a disappointing 3-37 record during his four-year stint that included winless campaigns in 2013, 2015 and 2016. EP Bowie DC Pichardo replaces Ryan and inherits a team in the midst of a 20-game losing streak.

5A/El Paso Hanks       Kevin Jones    Aaron Price     0-10     Jones leaves Hanks after three seasons and a 9-21 record overall. The Knights were 5-5 in 2014 - Jones’ first season at the helm. Humboldt State University OC Aaron Price - son of UT-El Paso head coach Mike Price - hired to lead Hanks.

5A/El Paso Jefferson  Jim Clark         Tony Martinez 2-8       Clark leaves Jefferson after five seasons and a 13-37 record overall. The Silver Foxes have not enjoyed a winning season since 2005 when they were 7-3. El Paso High OC Martinez takes over at Jefferson.

5A/EP Parkland           Josh Kirkland  Eric Frontz      8-4       Kirkland leaves Parkland after one season to take over at 6A Kyle Lehman. The Matadors were 8-4 in their only season under Kirkland. Frontz will be the interim HC.

5A/Elgin           Jim Garfield     Jens Anderson            3-7       Garfield leaves Elgin after three seasons to become an assistant AD at Lubbock ISD. The Wildcats were 11-21 in three seasons under Garfield, including a 7-5 campaign in 2014. Richmond George Ranch OC Anderson hired to take over at Elgin.

5A/Galena Park           Dave Handal   George Young 2-8       Handal resigns after four seasons at Galena Park. The Yellowjackets were 12-27 in four seasons under Handal. North Shore DL coach Young hired to head up GP.

5A/Grapevine  Randy Jackson           Mike Alexander            10-2     Jackson leaves Grapevine after three seasons to take over at North Forney. The Mustangs were 21-13 under Jackson, including last season’s 10-2 campaign. DC Alexander promoted to HC.

5A/Hallsville     David Plunk     Joe Drennon   2-8       Plunk reassigned after 12 seasons in Hallsville. The Bobcats were 62-65 under Plunk, which included a 7-5 campaign in 2015. Drennon, who led Mineola to the 3A-DI state championship last fall, hired at Hallsville.

5A/Houston Madison   Pat Reinecke  Damian Judge 8-3       Reinecke is reassigned after six years at Madison and a 37-28 record. After replacing Ray Seals in 2011, Reinecke guided the Marlins to the postseason five of the last six years. George Ranch assistant Judge brought in to run the show at Madison.

5A/Lindale       Mike Meador    Chris Cochran            2-8       Meador leaves Lindale after 11 seasons. The Eagles were 59-59 under Meador, and went to the playoffs six times during his regime. DC Cochran promoted to HC.

5A/Marshall     Clint Harper     Claude Mathis 6-5       Harper leaves Marshall after four seasons to become the AD for Duncanville ISD. The Mavericks were 27-20 under Harper, including an 11-2 campaign in 2015. SMU assistant and former DeSoto HC Mathis takes over at Marshall.

5A/Nederland  Larry Neumann           Monte Barrow  4-6       Neumann retires after a 24-year stay in Nederland. He compiled a 186-93-1 record while coaching the Bulldogs. Longview OC Barrow hired to take over in NEderland.

5A/North Forney          Lance Gary     Randy Jackson           4-6       Gary leaves North Forney after five seasons. The Falcons were 12-38 under Gary. Jackson hired from Grapevine to take over at NFHS.

5A/Northwest Eaton    Brad Turner     Ellis Miller        3-7       Turner promoted to Assistant AD of Northwest ISD, which includes Eaton, Justin Northwest and Byron Nelson. The Eagles were 3-7 in their first varsity season. DC Miller promoted to HC.

5A/Rosenberg Terry   Tim Teykl        Cornelius Anthony       7-5       Teykl resigns after 27 years at Terry, including the last 26 as HC. The Rangers went three rounds deep under Teykl in 2005 and 2012. FB Willowridge DC Anthony hired to lead Terry.

5A/SA Edison  Albert Torres   Jesse Monreal 7-3       Torres leaves Edison, his Alma Mater, after 10 seasons to take over at SA Harlandale. The Golden Bears were 52-51 in 10 seasons under Torres, including an 8-3 mark in 2010. DC Monreal promoted to HC.

5A/SA Harlandale        Isaac Martinez Albert Torres   4-6       Martinez retires after 34 years at Harlandale, including the last 23 as HC. The Indians were 139-110-2 under Martinez, who also guided them to a 10-3 finish in 2013. SA Edison HC Torres hired to replace Martinez.

5A/SA Highlands         Juan Morales   Hank Willis      7-4       Morales leaves Highlands to take over at SA Holmes. During Morales’ tenure, the Owls were 14-8 - 7-4 both seasons. Dallas Bryan Adams HC Willis takes over at Highlands.

5A/Texarkana  Barry Norton    Gerry Stanford            10-1     Norton is moving across town - and across state lines - to take over at Texarkana (Arkansas) High. While at Texarkana (Texas), the Tigers won a state championship in 2002 under Norton, who will take an overall record of 176-32-1 across the state line. Flower Mound Marcus HC Stanford hired to take over at Texas High.

5A/Tomball      Danny Ramsey           Kevin Flanigan            2-8       After an area round playoff appearance in 2012, Ramsey could not duplicate similar success in his last four seasons in Tomball. He amassed a 19-33 record in five years with the Cougars. Flanigan comes over from Beaumont West Brook.

5A/Tomball Memorial  Finis Vanover  Sam Parker     6-4       Vanover, who started the Memorial program in 2012, is out after five seasons. He compiled a 22-29 record, which included a 6-5 campaign in 2013 - the Wildcats’ only playoff season so far. Memorial hires Parker from Spring.

5A/Waco University    Keith Willis      Rodney Smith 0-10     Willis retired after this season. He wa 1-39 in four years at University, which included losses for the Trojans in their last 36 contests. UHS boys basketball coach Smith, also a former QB at the school, hired to head up the football program.

5A/Wichita Falls          Paul Sharr       Grant Freeman           1-9       Sharr leaves Wichita Falls after one season. The Coyotes will be in search of their third HC in as many seasons. OC Freeman promoted from within.


4A-DI/Big Spring         Clint Finley      Mitch McLemore         0-9       Finley leaves Big Spring after one season - a winless campaign. Finley, a former Nebraska Cornhusker and Kansas City Chief safety, came to Steer Country after a six-year stint at Los Fresnos. Big Spring hired Junction HC McLemore to take over the program.

4A-DI/Borger   James Day      Brian Coker     1-8       Day reassigned at Borger after five seasons and a 14-40 record overall. The Bulldogs made the playoffs each season, including this year’s 1-8 campaign, despite having a losing record each year. Levelland DC Coker hired to head up Borger.

4A-DI/Brownsboro      Jason Hooker  Greg Pearson 2-8       Hooker leaves Brownsboro to take over at Chapel Hill. The Bears were 10-41 in four seasons under Hooker, including a 5-6 campaign in 2015. Waskom DC Pearson hired to take over.

4A-DI/Bullard   Shannon Wilson         Scott Callaway            1-9       Wilson leaves after seven seasons to take over at Bridgeport. The Panthers were 38-36 under Wilson, including an 8-5 campaign in 2011. Mesquite assistant Callaway hired to take over.

4A-DI/Burkburnett       Scott Boswell  Jason Meng     1-9       Boswell resigns after eight years and a 29-58 record at Burkburnett. The Bulldogs qualified for the postseason under Boswell in 2011, 2013 and 2015. Burkburnett hires Granger HC Meng to take over the program.

4A-DI/Fabens  Robert Herrera            N/A      2-9       Herrera out after two seasons at Fabens. Despite going 5-17 under Herrera, the Wildcats still managed to make it to the postseason both years.

4A-DI/Fort Worth Diamond Hill-Jarvis            Rob Abernathie           Oscar Castillo 0-10     Abernathie retires after a coaching career that lasted more than 30 years. DH-J has one of the state’s longest losing streaks at 67 games going into 2017. Springlake Earth DC Castillo hired to take over DH-J.

4A-DI/Freeport Brazosport     Ben Rudolph   Mike Ferrell      1-9       Rudolph is reassigned after a five-year campaign on the Gulf Coast. The Exporters were 8-42 in five seasons under Rudolph. Ferrell hired away from Houston North Forest.

4A-DI/Hidalgo  David Duty      Monty Stumbaugh       1-9       Duty leaves Hidalgo after two seasons to join the staff at PSJA Southwest. The Pirates were 3-17 under Duty. Port ISabel HC Stumbaugh hired to take over at Hidalgo.

4A-DI/Houston North Forest   Mike Ferrell      Clifton Terrell   9-3       Ferrell leaves North Forest to take over at Brazosport. The Bulldogs were 33-13 under Ferrell. DC Terrell promoted to HC.

4A-DI/La Vernia           Scott Grubb     Chris Taber     2-9       Grubb served as the interim head coach, but decided to retire instead of pursue the head coach job at La Vernia. The Bears still reached the postseason under Grubb despite winning just two games in 2016. Tyler Chapel Hill OC Taber hired to take over at La Vernia.

4A-DI/Levelland           Jared Sanderson        Curtis Lowery  10-4     Sanderson leaves Levelland to take over at Midland Greenwood. The Lobos were 27-20 under four years with Sanderson. Glen Rose assistant HC Lowery hired to head up Levelland.

4A-DI/Liberty Hill          Jerry Vance     Jeff Walker      8-4       Vance retires after 16 seasons at Liberty Hill. Under Vance’s watch, the Panthers won back-to-back state titles in 2006 and 2007, and were 164-57. Walker, a former OC at LHHS and HC at Rogers, takes over.

4A-DI/Pleasanton        Tab Dumont    Stephen Liska 6-4       Dumont steps into AD-only role after 19 years and a 121-88 record at Pleasanton. The Eagles reached the state semifinals in 2007. DC Liska promoted to HC.

4A-DI/Princeton           Lee Wilkins     Clint Suratt      5-6       Wilkins leaves Princeton after four years. He went 29-16 and led the Panthers to the postseason each season at the helm. Princeton hires Frisco Lone Star OC Suratt to take over.

4A-DI/Sanger  Chuck Galbreath         Cole Ford        6-5       Galbreath steps into an AD-only role at Sanger. The Indians were 65-44 in 10 seasons under Galbreath. OC Ford promoted from within.

Shelbyville ISD promoted assistant Charles Tindol to the head coach position on Dec. 12. Tindol, who finished the season as the interim head coach, also coached at Italy in 2013 and 2014.

2A-DII/Wink     Andy Hrncir     Brian Gibson   6-5       Hrncir leaves Wink after seven seasons to join the staff at 4A Needville. The Wildcats were 40-38 in seven seasons under Hrncir, including an 8-4 campaign in 2013. Gibson, who left Van Horn to join the staff at Wink, was promoted from within shortly after Hrncir’s departure.

2A-DII/Woodsboro      Wade Miller     Xavier Rangel  3-8       Miller leaves Woodsboro to take over at Tuloso-Midway. The Eagles were 33-25 in five seasons under Miller, including a 10-3 campaign in 2012. Plainview DC Rangel hired to take over at Woodsboro.

Katy Paetow    N/A      B.J. Goette      N/A      Katy ISD’s eighth high school opens in the fall and plays varsity football in 2018. Goette hired away from his OC position at Katy High to lead Paetow.

Klein Cain        N/A      James Clancy N/A      Klein ISD’s fifth high school opens in the fall and plays varsity football in 2018. Clancy hired from Strake Jesuit to be Cain’s first head coach.

Pflugerville Weiss       N/A      Thomas Aultman        N/A      Pflugerville ISD’s fourth high school opens in the fall and plays varsity football in 2018. Aultman was hired away from Pflugerville Hendrickson, where he served as the DC.

San Antonio Harlan     N/A      Eddie Salas     N/A      Northside ISD’s 11th high school opens in the fall and plays varsity football in 2018. Salas was hired away from fellow Northside school Holmes in December.

San Antonio Legacy    N/A      John Tarvin     N/A      Southwest ISD’s second high school opens in the fall and plays varsity football in 2018. Tarvin was Southwest High’s DC in 2015 and was the coordinator of a middle school in SWISD in 2016.
