State Tournament Field Continues to Fill Up!

The list grows by the week as now 28 of the 64 slots in the "Big School" State Tournament are filed and 12 of the 32 "Small School" slots are also snatched up!

The "Big School" State Tournament field has grown to 28 teams after this week's action, while the first ever "Small School" qualifiers clinched berths this week as 12 teams advanced to College Station. The "Small School" State Tournament will be Thursday-Friday July 12-13 at Texas A&M University, while the "Big School" State Tournament will be Friday-Saturday July 13-14 at Texas A&M!

Canadian Next week will be the busiest week in the history of 7 on 7 SQT's as a total of 28 spots will be up for grabs in 12 SQTs across the state! West Texas and DFW will take center stage this week! The action starts early this week as on Wednesday Arlington Bowie will host their "Big School" SQT which is make up from the June 2 rain out. On Saturday in DFW Grapevine and Wylie will both host "Big School" SQTs, while out in West Texas Abilene will host a SQT. Up in the panhandle Amarillo Caprock will host their first ever SQT with a strong field of teams. East Texas gets into the act as for the second year in a row Paris will host their SQT with two spots in the state tournament on the line. The final CenTex SQT will be held in College Station as A&M Consolidated High School will be the spot. The only SQT that is held in Greater San Antonio will be held next week as defending Class 4A Division 1 State Champion Alamo Heights will host their SQT. A little further south, the city of McAllen Parks and Rec. Department will host their third annual SQT for teams down in the Valley. Finally in Greater Houston, Katy Taylor has their SQT. This SQT could be moved to Cinco Ranch High, TPI will update you if this happens. There will also be 8 spots on the line in the small school State Tournament as on Saturday Arlington Bowie hosts their "Small School" SQT, and much further down south Cuero High will host a SQT for the little guys!
