Playing in a district (18-5A) loaded with powerhouse teams and a plethora of talent, Alief Elsik returns in 2007 with plenty of manpower to get the job done. After a 3-7 season last year, the Rams are likely to seek more wins for this year.

The offensive leader will be quarterback Charles Jones. Jones finished 2006 with over 800 yards passing and eight touchdowns. Joining Jones in the backfield is a proven playmaker in running back Jeremy Hills. Hills is listed as one of the state's top backs and rushed for 1,435 yards and 15 touchdowns.

Along with Hills is running back Darrell Smith who picked up nearly 500 yards rushing and seven touchdowns. At wide receiver, William Randle will be Jones' likely target. Also look for Hills to play an integral role in the Rams' passing attack.

On the front line, Emmanuel Aluko is the Rams' chosen leader. Emmanuel Olorunyemi, Emone Bailey, and Adrian Osagie are the other returning linemen.

Defensively, linemen Chris Asumnu and Garland Breedlove will hold things down in the trenches. Chris Jackson, Camren Johnson, and Paul Wallace are Elisk's linebackers.

In the secondary, Rodney Johnson leads the corp of defensive backs. Johnson led the team last year with two interceptions. Travious Joseph and Derrick Bradley will also play in the defensive backfield.

All-District kicker Emmanuel Frias will handle the field goal and PAT duties.
