Nine starters return off of a Tiger team that finished 2-8 in 2006, but know that Spring Woods and coach Dwayne Eggerman will still line up and take things one game at a time.

For offense, the Tigers will go with Jamarcus Williams at quarterback. After Spring Woods' spring training, J. Williams seemed to be the chosen signal caller.

From their Wing T offense, the Tigers are known for having multiple running backs get plenty of carries. The running backs will be Tramarus Williams and Donald Brooks. T. Williams made the move to offense in the spring after playing defensive back last year. Denzell Thurmond will play fullback while the receiver position will feature newcomer Henry Riasco.

On the offensive line, Jared Trimm and Johnny Martinez lead the Tigers. Tony Salazar, Mike McGinnis, and Marcos Martinez (tight end) are the other returning linemen.

Defensively, Spring Woods' strength is at the linebacker position led by Greg Burks. Burks, who was banged up for numerous games in 2006, is still listed as one of the top linebackers in the state.

Along with Burks, Jerry Singleton (team leading 70 tackles last year), John Anthony Reyna, Bam Martinez, and Garrett Gover are also in the line up. Ryan Coisler is the lone returnee on the defensive line.

In the secondary, the leader is All-District defensive back Jimmy Heckard. Malcolm Dubose and Ray Hernandez will also be in the defensive backfield. Josh Krugly is the Tigers' returning punter.
