Week Zero Outlook:
What a way to start off the season, Cy Fair against Stratford. This is one you will not want to miss. Also, the Cy Ridge/Cinco Ranch game will be a nice one, as well as Jersey Village and Clear Lake. Langham Creek should edge Taylor and Cy Falls will take the long trip to a tough Bryan team. Strake Jesuit battles another private school at St. Thomas. Cy Creek has the lofty task of taking on Klein Oak at the Berry Center while at Pridgeon, Cy Springs and Morton Ranch face off.

Cy Fair vs. Stratford: This will likely be the high-profile game of the week. The hype will be built around Stratford's Andrew Luck and Cy Fair's Sam McGuffie. This game has the chance to become an all-out track meet. But in the end, I'll take Cy Fair by 3.
Cy Ridge vs. Cinco Ranch: This game, for Cy Ridge, will be payback for last season. The Rams were defeated twice, one of which knocked them out of postseason play. Rams QB Russell Shepard is back with a year under his belt. It will turn into a dogfight, but I'll take Cy Ridge by 7.
Jersey Village vs. Clear Lake: Jersey Village will travel to Clear Lake to face an experienced defense. That defense is looking to stop JV RB Anthony Bibbs who is one of Houston's top backs. Plenty of points will be scored in this game. Jersey Village by 14.
Langham Creek vs. Katy Taylor: Look for Langham Creek's QB Max Jenkins to have a big game through the air. Taylor will come out hard and fast with a new style of defense. But, I see the Lobos taking this one. Langham Creek by 10.
Cy Falls vs. Bryan: Cy Falls travels to Bryan and this game could get interesting. Cy Falls' Shane Turner should get things started and prove the Golden Eagles still have the funk while Bryan's tough defense is likely to test that. This one may be close. Cy Falls by 3.
Strake Jesuit vs. St. Thomas: Two well-coached private schools face off under Friday Night Lights. Crusader QB Jeff McVaney opens this year under the center, and look for him to shine. St. Thomas is good at capitalizing on other's mistakes, but the talent pool is too deep in this one. Strake Jesuit by 14.
Cy Creek vs. Klein Oak: This game will likely turn into a track meet, and fast. The Panthers return players like Desean Hales and Terrance Robinson. Enough said. I don't think the Cougar defense will have an answer for that type of firepower. Klein Oak by 21.
Cy Springs vs. Morton Ranch: Here we have two teams lining up that had minimal success last season. As far as talent is concerned, Cy Springs has the slight edge. With that said, I'm going with the Panthers. Cy Springs by 14.
