Klein doesn't take it easy after battling Katy as they play a team that could easily win their district in QB Russell Shepherd and the Cy Ridge Rams. Klein Collins will be in for a long day if RB Sam McGuffie suits up and actually plays or not. Smithson Valley takes on their second straight Houston area team as they take on the Spring Lions and their much improved defense. Tomball and Magnolia could be playing for their only win of the season. Klein Forest can make a very big statewide statement after only winning by 7 last weekend. Westfield took 2 quarters to shake some rust of but the Mustang machine looks to be rolling once again as they will play Cy Falls.
Klein vs Cy Ridge- Cy Ridge showed last weekend why they are picked to win their district by some and even state ranked in some polls. Klein needs to improve a lot coming off a 45-0 loss to Katy. They should look much improved but not enough to take down the Rams. Cy Ridge by 12.
Klein Collins @ Cy Fair- Cy Fair showed last week that they were beatable without their all-everything RB Sam McGuffie. Too bad the Tigers arent quite good enough yet to take advantage even if McGuffie is out. Cy Fair by 17.
Klein Forest vs FB Hightower- The Golden Eagles and Hurricanes both come off dissapointing first games. However, Klein Forest managed to get a victory as Hightower lost. Klein Forest won this game last year as well and I think they take it again at home against their former HC Gene Johnson and his Hurricaes. Klein Forest by 10.
Spring vs Smithson Valley- Spring was quite unimpressive in their first game but squeeked out a win vs Deer Park as the defense shined by only giving up 6 points. Smithson Valley showed they can be run on but their offense is explosive. I'll take the Rangers but closer than most think. Smithson Valley by 10.
Westfield @ Cy Falls- Cy Falls is definitely in a rebuilding stage after losing basically their entire State Championship game team from last year. Westfield battled through an emotional night to win their first game after tragically losing Herman Mitchell. Westfield has dedicated this season to Mitchell and will be on a mission. Westfield by 14.
Tomball vs Magnolia- Both of these teams have had success in the distant past but now are struggling programs. Last week Tomball got throttled by College Park and Magnolia lost big to 4A Huntsville. This game is big for both teams as it could be their only win of the year. Tomball by 3.
