Alief Elsik WR favors Miners

Alief Elsik WR William Randle has been working the recruiting process diligently. Over the summer he picked up one offer and he still feels strong about that school. He has some other interest, but he clearly has a favorite. TPI caught up with Randle during the Rams' bye week to get this recruiting update.

As Alief Elsik wide receiver William Randle sits back and views all of his options, it clearly points to one direction. After a summer football camp, Randle received a letter in the mail offering him a scholarship. To date, that school remains his favorite.

"Right now I have one offer under my belt from UTEP," The 6-0, 182-pound Randle said. "They are my favorite right now. I go on my visit in October. I talked with coach (Eric) Price the other day."

Besides UTEP, Arizona State, Houston, Texas Tech, and Missouri have all been showing some interest. But even so, Randle still favors the Miners.

"I'm leaning towards UTEP, but I am still undecided," Randle said. "When I met the coaches they told me they were very interested in me. We stay in touch about every week. But really, I just want to play where I will be happy."

Randle feels like he will fit into the Miners offense very well. He likes the way they spread the ball around. With an official visit right around the corner, one may ask the verbal commitment question.

"I will probably make my decision after I come back from my visit," Randle said.
