TPI's Week 3 Top Performers: 17, 18, 19-5A

With all the football action going on all across the state, TPI's Ahmard Vital will highlight some of the top player performances from Week 3 in Districts of 17, 18, 19-5A teams. Many of the teams had a bye week so we have combined the three district's top players.

DB Trent Hunter, Katy (18-5A)
Hunter, a Kansas State commit, has proven on plenty of occasions that he is the real deal. In a 41-14 win over A&M Consolidated, he had a 60-yard punt return for a touchdown and a 7-yard touchdown rushing. Hunter and the Tiger defense held A&M Consolidated to 40 second-half yards.

RB Jeremy Hills, Alief Elsik (18-5A)
The Longhorn pledge has had several strong games despite the outcomes. Against a tough Westside team, Hills rushed for 170 yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns. The Rams lost the contest 35-21.

RB Aundre Dean, Katy (18-5A)
Dean may just have a permanent spot on TPI's top list. He racked up 183 yards on 25 carries and three touchdowns in a winning effort against A&M Consolidated, 41-14. Dean, a UCLA commit, is one of the leading rushers in the Greater Houston area.

WR DeMario Thibodeaux, Houston Memorial (19-5A)
After being used as a primary return specialist last season, Thibodeaux has found his niche in the Mustang offense. In a 10-9 victory over Spring Westfield, he had five receptions for 59 yards.

RB Curtis McGregor, Aldine Eisenhower (19-5A)
McGregor has been one of the Eagles' top receivers for this season so far. In a 41-28 loss to Lufkin, he caught 11 passes for 78 yards.

ATH Greg Burks, Spring Woods (19-5A)
Burks making the switch to offense this year has obviously paid off despite the team's record. In a 27-13 loss to Conroe Oak Ridge, Burks caught four passes for 172 yards and a touchdown.
