TPI District 19-5A: Week Four Preview (FREE)

It's Week 4 and it is time for district play. This week features a pair of undefeated teams with Aldine Nimitz and Northbrook. Houston Stratford opens with Spring Woods, Aldine will battle Aldine Macarthur, and Houston Memorial will play Aldine Eisenhower. TPI will break down each of these match ups.

Houston Stratford vs. Spring Woods: Stratford comes into this match up the clear favorite over Spring Woods. The Tigers have not been able to produce much offensively, and Stratford will capitalize on it. Look for Spartan QB Andrew Luck to have a big game. Stratford by 21.

Aldine Nimitz vs. Northbrook: Even though Northbrook is undefeated, I am not sure that the Raiders have faced a team with as much speed as Nimitz (a team that is also undefeated). Cougar QB Michael Thomas has done well leading the offense and he and Marion Grice will both likely rush for 100+ yards. Nimitz by 21.

Aldine vs. Aldine Macarthur: Aldine and Macarthur are both looking for the first win of the season after facing some tough competition in the preseason. Aldine has shown a little more offensively and have a few more weapons than Macarthur. Aldine wins this one. Aldine by 14.

Houston Memorial vs. Aldine Eisenhower: Memorial has always been a team that knows how to win. But, the Mustangs face a team that has cranked out more than 1,000 yards of offense. Eisenhower is looking for a win and Memorial is coming off a big win over Spring Westfield. The stage is set for an all-out slugfest. This is a tough call, but I'll take the Eagles. Eisenhower by 7.
