Langham Creek ATH is cruising under the radar

Langham Creek ATH Cortez Paige is a player who is seriously flyer under the recruiting radar. With the skills he exhibits on the field, it is clear he has the ability to play multiple positions. But so far he is not hearing from many Division I colleges. TPI caught up with Paige to get this recruiting update.

The 6-1, 190-pound athlete Cortez Paige has shown recently that he is a true sleeper. The Langham Creek prospect is playing on both sides of the ball and all special teams. Basically, he never leaves the field.

But, as it stands right now, he has no offers and very little interest from Division I schools. He is hoping that will change in the near future.

"I am only receiving word from one school and that is Tulsa," Paige said. "They are the only school that is really talking to me. I haven't really heard from anybody else. I am just going to keep playing ball."

As far as Paige's take on Tulsa, he is a little familiar with the school after trip down there over the summer.

"I went to camp there (Tulsa) this summer," Paige said. "Tulsa is a nice place. I got the chance to meet the coaches and dome of the players and they are good people."

Paige has proven to be a real playmaker for the Lobo football team. As a safety, Paige has two interceptions and averages about six tackles a game. Offensively, he has caught nine passes for 223 yards and three touchdowns.

Though he spent most of his time on defense as a junior, Paige will play any position necessary to get a shot at a Division I school.

"I would say that primarily I am a safety," Paige said. "But I'll play any position that will get me on the field."
