TPI's Week 5 Top Performers: 19-5A

With all the football action going on all across the state, TPI's Ahmard Vital will highlight some of the top player performances from Week 5 in the District of 19-5A.

QB Kenneth Guiton, Aldine Eisenhower
Guiton is one of Houston's leading quarterbacks and performances like this are the reason why. He threw for 248 yards and three touchdowns in a 41-10 win over Houston Northbrook. 

WR Delfonte Diamond, Aldine Nimitz
The undefeated Cougars have another player to make the list and this week it is Diamond. He had six receptions for 46 yards and a touchdown in Nimitz's 13-10 win over Houston Memorial.

RB Izeal Lewis, Aldine Macarthur
Since district play opened up, the Generals have found a few wins and once again they have an athlete on TPI's list. Lewis had six carries for 118 yards and a touchdown. Macarthur rolled over Spring Woods 49-7.

QB Darron Thomas, Aldine
The Aldine signal caller was 14-of-25 for 235 yards two touchdowns and an interception. He also had 101 yards rushing and a touchdown. Despite the strong performance, Aldine lost to Stratford 34-24.

RB Rodney Anderson, Houston Stratford
Anderson was the leader on the ground as the Spartans celebrated a 34-24 victory over Aldine. He rushed 15 times for 110 yards and two touchdowns.

WR Tyson Williams, Aldine
Williams makes the list for the second week in a row. He caught five passes for 117 yards and two touchdowns in the Mustangs 34-24 loss to Houston Stratford. 

Side Note: Nimitz's Ray Anthony Long had the Game-winning interception in the Cougars win over Houston Memorial 13-10. Nimitz remains undefeated.
