TPI's Week 5 Top Performers: 18-5A

With all the football action going on all across the state, TPI's Ahmard Vital will highlight some of the top player performances from Week 5 in the District of 18-5A.

QB Bo Mitchell, Katy
With Mitchell leading the Katy program, the Tigers are in good hands. He was 13-of-19 for 261 yards and four touchdowns. Katy is still undefeated after a 48-0 victory over Katy Taylor.

WR Carson Beard, Katy Morton Ranch
Beard broke the District 18-5A reception record this past week against Alief Elsik. He had nine catches for 213 yards and a touchdown. The Mavericks lost the game to the Rams 34-27.

RB Saheed Imoru, Alief Hastings
Imoru came through big for the Bears team in a 21-14 win over Katy Mayde Creek. He ran for 177 yards and two touchdowns.

RB Aundre Dean, Katy
Dean is back and it seems like he has not lost a step. He rushed for 150 yards on 18 carries and two touchdowns. Dean even caught a 59-yard touchdown pass in a 48-0 victory over cross-town rival Katy Taylor. 

RB Adam Hirtz, Katy Cinco Ranch
Hirtz made his presence known with his hard running style and yards gained. He had 24 carries for 162 yards and a touchdown as the Cougars keep their playoff hopes alive with a 20-9 victory over Alief Taylor.

RB Chris West, Katy Mayde Creek
When the Rams need a big play, they are likely to call on West. And he will deliver. In a 21-14 loss to Alief Hastings, West ran for 123 yards.
