2009 QB pulls in offer No. 11 from SEC school

It is pretty evident that Cy Ridge QB Russell Shepard will have his fair share of Division I offers. After pulling in two more offers a few days ago, it seems that he has gained the attention of another SEC school. TPI got the update from the junior QB.

One of the state's most ‘electrifying' players from the Class of 2009 continues to pull in offers at a very fast rate. Cy Ridge quarterback Russell Shepard is all over the recruiting radar after a stellar sophomore year and an already exceptional junior year.

His interest is coming from almost every major Division I college in the country. Many of which have given the talented athlete offer. After receiving offer No. 9 and 10 a few days ago, No. 11 came in right behind it.

"Florida offered today," Shepard told TPI on Monday.

With 11 total offers, Shepard's scholarship opportunities are: Nebraska, Iowa, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Tulsa, Arkansas, Alabama, Boston College, Arizona State, and Minnesota.

He still has other top programs such as USC, Notre Dame, Florida State, and Texas as teams that are recruiting him very hard.

On the season, Shepard has 878 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns with an average of nearly 10 yards per carry. He has 522 passing yards and five touchdowns.
