Williams close to commitment

Aldine WR Tyson Williams may have found that perfect fit in a college. Though he did not officially give his commitment verbally, the word may come later today. TexasPrepInsider has the scoop.

Though he may not have gotten the looks he was expecting, Aldine wide receiver Tyson Williams has a few opportunities with a lone Division I school and some strong Division II programs.

In a brief conversation with Williams on Sunday, he informed TexasPrepInsider that his offers were from West Texas A&M, Texas Southern, and Tarleton State.

He has already visited all the schools mentioned. During his senior season, Williams caught 56 passes for 779 yards and six touchdowns.

From the tone of the conversation, it seems like he is leaning towards signing with West Texas A&M. He said he was impressed with the success the program has had over the last few years in the Lone Star Conference.

Stay tuned to TPI for confirmation on Williams' decision.
